The ADPS Detective Bureau provides assistance to Road Patrol for major felony cases and is responsible for the investigation of all felony crimes that are not resolved by the primary reporting officer. The Unit provides crime scene investigative support to road patrol when needed.

     The Detective Bureau assists the Patrol Division with all major crimes which occur in the City including:

Auto Thefts Fraudulent Activities Narcotics
Death Investigations Homicides Robbery
Employee Backgrounds Internal Investigations Runaways
Missing Persons Kidnappings Sexual Assaults

The Detective Bureau is also responsible for all investigations as directed by the Chief.

The Detective Bureau also acts as a Liaison between the Courts, County and City Prosecutors Offices, Other Local, County, State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies and provides support and guidance to the Patrol Division and other units in the Department.
