Abandoned Vehicle Enforcement

The Albion Department of Public Safety has a strict policy on abandoned vehicle enforcement.  Vehicle that are tagged as abandoned by a Public Safety Officer must be made operable and legally parked within 48 hours with valid registrations or they will be towed at the owners expense.  Albion City Ordinance gives Public Safety Officers the right to enter upon private property to enforce the Abandoned Vehicle Ordinance.

Vehicles that are considered road hazards or obstructing traffic can be towed immediately without warning.  If your vehicle breaks down and you are unable to remove it from the roadway please contact ADPS as soon as possible.

Questions concerning Abandoned Vehicles should be directed to PSO Tim Stanley

A copy of the City Ordinance can be found at the following link.
