On July 1, 2002 Albion Department of Public Safety will put into service their new fire truck, 1-31.   ADPS received 1-31 in the early part of June and will conduct 1 month of familiarization training with all personnel before moving it to lead engine.  1-31 is a 2002 E-One 6 man cab unit powered by a Cummins 330hp diesel engine with an Allison transmission.  The pump is a Hale QSMG single stage pump that moves 1500GPM.  The pump is controlled by a Class One pressure governor.  1-31 is equipped with a 15,000 watt AMPS PTO generator, 4 1000 watt FRC quartz scene lights, 2 electric Hannay reels, 1 hydraulic Hannay reel, a hydraulic ladder rack, and a TFT Extend-A-Gun deck gun.
